Hey guys. Beej is in upstate NY at the 9th Annual Chrysler Spring Cruise. This year is in memory of a friend of ours Dick Lang who was instrumental in the Chrysler Owners Group and recently succumbed to brain tumours.

Kiddo has put together a stop-motion video of the day. No doubt she took a couple of thousand photos to put this together so if there's any individual shots you're interested in, she should still have a Raw copies.

So far, she's done San Fran, LA (Weenie Roast Concert), Escondido, Houston, Galveston, New Orleans, Atlanta, Boston, Old Saybrook CT (with surrogate parents) and Liverpool. She's on her way to Niagara now before heading to NY city to meet with a friend, then Salt Lake to meet with with her other surrogate parents before a few days in Los Angeles.

Stop motion video here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UfcyIIzoKig&feature=youtu.be

Blog and some of her amazing photos here:

So proud of her for doing all this by herself.

Dont worry Tony did come up and ask.....my reply was I've only been trained on the Cruiser...not the Cabrio ;)

Have to say Tony took it well considering the situation and we werent going to leave them there on there own and if worst come to worst I would've arranged a tow to a secured premises. It's a wonder the NRMA didnt offer that!

What a lovely looking car though. The wheels so suit their car.

Chantel has contacted me re selling her beaut looking Cabrio so I've offered to put up a post for her on our forum.
I have Chantels contacts...for genuine enquiries only.

Chantel says -
I'm regretfully selling my convertible blue PT cruiser, I'd really love it to go to someone that has an interest in these vehicles as I absolutely love and adore my PT. It's been completely hassle free.
It's a blue pt cruiser, convertible, semi automatic, approx 70,000kms, great condition, 2006, touring model, rego expires in October.
I live in Aberdare, NSW about 45 minutes from Newcastle.

Some great comments from all of you... Thanks...

I have actually wanted to research this for a while, and finally had the time to do it. I found it very interesting that the PT is "more powerful" than some of the older V8's!

As mentioned, the PT was never meant to be a "sports" car, nor even a "performance" car, but it does alright!

Rudy - My research showed that the 2.4 litre has only 1kW (approx 1.4hp) more than the the 2.0 litre, but weighs somewhat more; and yours (being a Cabriolet) would weigh more than the hard-top, thus, the engine would have a lot more work to do. I haven't checked the specs, but I think that they would be the same world-wide. Europe and Australia have generally much stricter pollution regulations than the U.S., so I think that Chrysler, (like most manufacturers) would have just produced it the most stringent regulations and sold the same car everywhere.

Thanks for the interest... (nice to know that there are more out there who are interested in the same "odd" stuff as I am!).

SIMPLE TRUTH 1

Partners help each other undress before $ex.
However after $ex, they always dress on their own.

Moral of the story: In life, no one helps you once you're $, cr ewed.

SIMPLE TRUTH 2

When a lady is pregnant, all her friends touch the stomach and say "Congrats".
But, none of them come and touch the man's bits and say "Good job".

Moral of the story: "Hard work is never appreciated.”

RULES TO REMEMBER IN LIFE

1. Money cannot buy happiness, but it's more comfortable to cry in a Corvette than on a bicycle.

2. Forgive your enemy, but remember his name.

3. If you help someone when they're in trouble, they will remember you when they're in trouble again.

4. Alcohol does not solve any problems, but then neither does milk.

email received .....

My name is Matthew Cross and I used to sell Jeep/Chrysler cars in the late 1990's into the early 2000's at Brighton Chrysler Jeep. At that time I planned to buy my own PT but things didn't work out that way and the number plates that I bought back then I still have now and are surplus to my needs. They read, " PTCRZR".

Do you think that anyone in your club would be interested in them? I don't want to just dump them on you or ask silly money for them, but I just don't need them.

They are brand new, never put on a car. Black background and white writing, slimline, Victorian rego, all the VICROADS documents etc, still in the cardboard sleeve. I'm happy to take a photo if this helps.

I can be contacted by return email (crossm@iinet.net.au) or on the mobile 0418-315-359.

Please contact Mathew direct if any one interested

Agree with you Ray re the flat black paint, in particular when the bumper is 'bling'.

I think though that the 'box trailer' look suits it perfectly- retro, 30's,40's,50's... Utes/pick-ups were rounded in the front but very "boxy" in the rear.

Hi Romano,

It is sad, but true, the PT is no longer made anywhere in the world. :(

For parts, if you can't get them locally, there are very many companies in USA on eBay who will (I think) be supplying parts for a very long time. :)

You are on the right track when you say about the FIAT cinqecento (500)- interestingly it is made by the new owners of Chrysler B) .

RED GONG:Very well, I understand it cost a little translation. I have a similar joke but a little creepy: A man takes a taxi and in his hand carried a dog without hands and feet, enters the cab and the driver asks: What is the name the dog? the man replied: Dog .... The driver says: As a dog? It has no name? The man answered: That I'm going to put a name when you call if can not come .... Do not know if I will understand, but here in Argentina it seems funny but a little creepy. GREETINGS.

Thanks Chris for your nice comments. Both yours and Ray M's mobile light show is a show on its own. Both your cars attracted great interest on the night.........like insects to a light...literally.
