Hi All,

For the August Victorian cruise we will be heading up to Maldon in country Victoria. This will be an all day cruise. We will visit some towns along the way stopping off for some morning tea and then having lunch in Maldon. Maldon is a wonderful town to visit as it has retained it heritage and the street scape is wonderful.

I will be posting further details as soon as I can finalise them.

Please note that this cruise was originally scheduled for Saturday, but will now be on Sunday August 16th

hmm ... 22nd I have to be IN MELB for TWO family gatherings .... I'll see if I can get TWO weekends in a row off !! .. NOT gonna be SQUEEZY !!

Some further details to wet the appetite for Sunday August 16th!

We will depart from the same location as July's run.

Meet at McDonalds Car Park (BP Service Centre Melways 354 J3) out bound on the Calder Highway at 8:45am for a departure at 9:00am.

We will head up along the Calder Highway for our first stop at Castlemaine.
We will visit the magnificent XXXX Bond Store Antiques and Collectables Complex. This place is incredible to visit.

Zelma and I have visited this complex a number of times and always enjoy it. It has collectables of all sorts as well as magnificent antiques. The complex is quite large.

I am still looking for a place for a morning coffee.

From Castlemaine we will then head for Maldon and depending on time either go to our lunch destination in Maldon which is the Penny School Gallery and Cafe. Check out the website for info and also click on the Cafe tab to see the lunch menu.

After lunch we will head back into the main street of Maldon to go on a walk down the main street which is a treat in itself and a step back in time.
Also in the main street is the 'Maldon Motor Museum' which houses a great collection of cars. (At this stage I am awaiting email confirmation)

Am still trying to confirm that the Maldon Motor Museum is open. The web site says it is, but as yet I have not been able to confirm by phone or email. I am researching an alternative just in case.
