Hi All,
Have sent out an email with all the info about this coming Sunday's run to Castlemaine and Maldon.
We will be departing from the same location as July's run.
Meet at the McDonalds Car Park, just past Calder Park Raceway (BP Service Centre Melways 354 J3) out bound on the Calder Highway at 8:45am for a departure at 9:00am.
We will head up along the Calder Highway for our first stop at Castlemaine
We will stop for a short coffee break at:
Togg’s Place
58 Lyttleton St Castlemaine
(03) 5470 5090
We may need to spread out to a couple of Cafes if everyone wants coffee to save some time. There are a few Cafes within a couple of minutes walk from Togg’s Place
We will then visit the magnificent XXXX Bond Store Antiques and Collectables Complex. This place is incredible to visit. With a huge range of antiques to collectables.

From Castlemaine we will then head for Maldon and depending on time either go to our lunch destination in Maldon which is the Penny School Gallery and Cafe. Check out the website for info . Due to the number of people coming, we will be having our own menu for lunch with 3 options which includes vegetarian . We have booked for lunch at 1:00pm.
I have paid a $100.00 deposit. Credit cards are welcome, but please make sure you know which specific meals/drinks you have had. Alternatively we can pay cash as one group.

The local newspaper may arrive at the Penny School Café to take some photos of our Club!
After lunch we will drive down to the main street of Maldon and walk around the shop and also visit the Maldon Motor Museum which is on the main street as well.
Check out the website at:

The Motor Museum's oldest car is a 1913 Veteran Metz single seater Roadster with brass acetylene powered headlamps, a huge 3 litre, 4 cylinder engine, wire wheels and a most unusual infinitely variable transmission. The Metz was marketed as "the gearless car, no clutch to slip, no gears to strip".
The rarest car in the Museum is the 1953 left-hand-drive BMW 507 sedan which was sold new in Switzerland in early 1954. It was specially imported into Australia, has been driven in the Northern Territory, Queensland and Victoria, and is still in excellent overall condition. Looking like the luxurious Mercedes-Benz 300 series of the mid 50s, it has touches of Jaguar and Austin in its smooth flowing lines.
