Did anybody watch the movie last Saturday night "Deck the Halls (All Lit Up)" starring Danny Devito and Matthew Broderick?

Reminds me of "Santa" Craig and the next door neighbour. "Encouraged" by the next door neighbour over the last couple of years Craig has been inspired to decorate the Doncaster East home with Xmas Lights. These two seem to try and out do one another with the scale and brightness of what they do.

This year Craig demanded a purpose - to support a charity. The McGrath Foundation has been chosen and I would suggest a very well worthy cause!

While this is not an official club cruise perhaps if there is some interest from members out there we can arrange a night for a cruise maybe staring off with a get together at a cafe for some dinner or a coffee before heading to Van Unen Court, Doncaster East to view the handy work of Craig and the neighbour and perhaps make your donation to this worthy charity.

I would suggest a night from Dec 13 (Sun),19 (Fri), 20 (Sat), or 21 (Sun). If I could get a show of interest by the middle of next week indicating a prefered date and whether dinner or just coffee some arrangements could be made.

In any event if you can not make an organised evening feel free to drive past but don't forget to drop something in the collection for The McGrath Foundation.

I'd be up for a cruise to see some lights, the kids enjoy those rides in the car at Christmas! Did the fact there were a couple of PT's in the movie have any bearing on the outcome, the boys and I sat and watched it and did a some PT spotting at the same time!!

No most of the work was done last week and Craig was away and I do not think he watched the movie at all. I didn't either (just occassional glimpse) but I must say I did have a bit of a giggle seeing the promos for the movie on TV last week and thinking about Craig and the neighbour making things bigger and brighter than last year! A little bit like Chevy Chase - when they turn on the lights I think there is a dip in the power grid in Doncaster East!.

Let us know when, if we can make it we will, don't think Matt will make it though!!!! I love seeing all the beautiful lights at xmas time.

at 7pm Sunday Dec 13th (Tony/Mary-Anne 5pm is a little too early as it will not get dark until about 9pm and otherwise we would not see the Xmas lights)

After a bite to eat we can then cruise around suburbia looking at a number of the lights on display including Craig's handy work at Doncaster East home.

Sorry, Zelma and I cannot make it this Sunday night. Zelma is co MC at Sunbury's Carols by Candlelight and it starts on the Village Green in Sunbury at 7pm.
Hope you all have fun as it would be good to see the lights. We have set up lights here as well, but just a traditional nativity scene.
Anyway, have fun and hope you raise some funds, it's a good cause.
