Great weekend as usual I am still in recovery .. we had a few Newbies and PTs from SA & NSW clubs along as well a a modern Nitro .. I made up 18 stickers and was still short !! . took nearly 500 pics ... I was NOT driving makes a difference... THANKYOU the Blacky family for a fabulous organising .. the boat cruise is worth a visit for the commentary & the scenery .. the number of HOT RODS on show was greater than ever .. so many high lights ... I'll try to get pics up soon ... !

Hi guys got home safely brought back good memories wow i past 100s of hot rods leaving Bright Sunday morn on my way into town but wow, THERE was 100s still there as u know,Picked a couple of good things 4 my car u guys must have missed (u were there b 4 me). nice 2 meet u all might c u at C/s on the murray PTs 10yr.old then no affence Mopar Guys. PS theres no bugs left in Vic. I had them all getting a lift on the front of my car, its ok i washed them all and sent then back Ha Ha. Regards MAC.

2 PT’s set out from Wagga on sat morning to meet up with the Vic PT’s at Yarrawonga for our designated Lake cruise on the MV Paradise Queen.
9 PT’s from Vic and 1 from SA arrived just after us and after a quick hello to everyone and a quick hello and goodbye to Peter from SA we jumped aboard the boat for a very nice 1 ½ hr cruise with a scrumptious bbq lunch aboard also. A lot of history was told of the lake by the captain of the ship and well worth the ride just to find that out. Lake Mulwala is a man made lake on the Murray river system and is also a control point for one of the main irrigation channels that runs throughout the Riverina.

After the cruise it was off to Wangaratta where some checked the place out, some laid back at the motel and relaxed with a lemonade or two and some even had a nanny nap, we are getting older you know!!!

Sat night dinner was your own choice. Some were healthy and had restaurant meals, some were a little less healthy and had fast food and some I don’t know what they did. Most returned and we all sat around under the star lit sky and talked. A very relaxing night.

Sunday morning we travelled in convoy from Wangaratta to Bright to attend the Rod show. 12 PT’s and a Dodge Nitro where we were met by others who couldn’t make the full weekend. Plenty of nice rods on the oval but overall the numbers were down quite a bit outside the grounds compared to recent years. Possibly another thing that the financial crisis has bitten into but what was there was very good.
A couple of surprises on the day were different people who had recently bought PT’s and were there to check out the show so they were quickly snavelled and tagged so we hope to see a couple of extra PT’s joining in to cruise with us in the future.
Only disappointment of the weekend was the doubling in price of the gate entrance fee. Some people even turned around and walked away. I hope this doesn’t reflect too much on the future of the show.

A very enjoyable weekend once again and thank you to Tony, Maryanne & Rebecca for organising another top weekend. Well done.

Bright Hotrod Show - Nov 09

thanks Chief ..great pics there !! .. U spotted the FIAT too ... wonder if that is the NEXT retro PT !! .. Peter sorry we didn't realise U were going to make it bugger we got there at 10.00am and left at 2.30pm .. BUT tis a great drive esp in a PT !! .... bugs??? mine are still there .. can't wash at home, been too hot ( we have NO shade) and I have been at work most of the time back !! may try in the dark tonight ... no one can see I am using water then either .. joking ..

A great slideshow .We really thought the last two pics were great...Not that we are biased of course.
Anyway at the end of the day (weekend)everyone had a great time..Looking forward to next year..

For those that were there at this weekend and were lucky enough to see and hear this wild EH running was something very different.
Full race motor and as far as we know does the occassional run down the drag strip with the dollies on the back and parachute. One wild motor to listen to.
