I'd bet it is Rob.
Although knowing where the fire went through close to the Hume Hwy north of Melb the country has certainly recovered somewhat there.

PTGT Black Panther has notified of the Cruise
Meet at Excelsior Hotel, Thomastown, at 7.30 to leave at 8.00am sharp. Turn left out of the Excelsior Hotel, and then right onto the Greensborough By-pass towards, Plenty Road. Turn left onto Plenty Road, heading towards, Whittlesea. It will take approximately ½ hour depending on traffic and speed. Re-group at Whittlesea Showgrounds (Toilet stop/re fuelling of cars if needed). Keep following the road until you see the Yea/Kinglake sign approximately 24 kms/ (10 mins from Whittlesea). Watch out for local traffic and push bike riders!. (Amazing to see all the new undergrowth around. Nice and green and bushy!! “Welcome to Kinglake” Stop at Kinglake Bakery for breaky/morning tea and a chat, maybe stay around about 1-1/2 hour. Approx 45 mins from where we started off. (It is approx. 50kms to Healesville from this point). Re-group after morning tea. Turn left at roundabout heading east to Healesville (approximately 33 kms from this point). Turn off at the Toolangi/Healesville sign/road approximately 24 kms still to travel (watch out for the Sunday Drivers)count to 10 (Mark). Toolangi is known for its Strawberries. Enjoy the scenery. Might find debris on road, (passengers might find hand grips supplied might come in handy at this stage of the trip) (hold on tight and try to enjoy the cruise)!!!! Drive through Chum Creek (don’t sneeze or you might miss this little country town). Keep following the road, through to Healesville where we will re group again before heading on (Sanctuary sign 800 metres on right). Keep driving through the Town Centre. There is another sign, turn right, (4 kms to Healesville Sanctuary) keep following this road to the roundabout, turn right, and the car park is on the left. We should arrive hopefully if everything runs to plan around 11.00am. Hope you all enjoyed the trip!!! We can decide what we want to do in the Sanctuary once we get in there. You can bring your own lunch or there are many places (cafe’s) where you can buy something to eat. Enjoy your day, Regards, Margaret and Mark Pellegrino (Cruise Controller)

HI all,
Was looking forward to taking the boys on this cruise, BUT!!!! It looks like I'll be walking everywhere for a while! The PT has let me down bigtime! The computer is cactus, and it could be off the road for 4-5 weeks if I'm lucky! so we won't be doing much cruising for a while, not to sure how I'm even going to get to work!!
Cheers
Teekay

MY weekend crusie report !! I got to see a few black swans & those stupid plovers that swoop to kill !! made it back home at 9pm ... saw two nitros and a few jeeps that is ABOUT IT !! BUT here is the Club report
Hi everyone, well we all had a great day, started out pretty cold 3 degrees and Thomastown @ 7.30am. We met Tony, Maryanne, Rebecca, Joe and Nina and not far away drove in Brenten, Robyn and boys for our monthly PT run. We headed off at 8.00am with only 3 pt's in tow. Drove through Whittlesea then onto Kinglake where we had b/fast, morning tea at the local bakery, which everyone throughly enjoyed, still looking very bleak, except for the new undergrowth on the surrounding trees. Then off to Healesville for the day, got there about 10.00am walked up and down the main st, not too many people out @ about at that time on a Sunday am, still mighty fresh. Got to meeting point at 11.00am, no more pt's to be found, sadly, but we soldered on Saw the new dingo pups near the Wildlife Hospital, very cute, then walked through the platypus enclosure onto the Birds of Prey presentation, very impressive, I didn't realize how big and smart those birds can be, Brenten nearly lost the camera to the Wedged Tailed Eagle as it flew by, very popular exhibition. We then walked back through the Sanctuary for a very nice lunch at the local restaurant. Thanks Tony for speaking up, otherwise Mark and Rebecca would have missed out Walked back through the Sanctuary and into the shop, where we all spent some well urned cash, and then we said our goodbyes and headed for the hills back home, a great day was had by all, cheers "The MP's" (PTGT)
