yes some nice cars in the remake
But the scene in the chase where Elanor uses the back of a Tow truck as a jump
Now thats some really good CGI done there. Looks almost realistic
But not as bad as the opening scene's in the new Fast & Furious
Sorry not one of my faves up there with the Italian Job remake
But I prefer this as far as Computer Animation goes

I remember Stone. I'd love to watch it again. Probably 20 years since I last seen it.

To get the tow truck jump right they totaled a number of cars in the remake 11 in all, but the original they used one car only.

Would have to agree, Gone in Sixty Seconds, my son Matthew loves that car and that car chase scene, I don't know how many times he has watched it;) I love it too, actually Mark once help build an Eleanor at a panel shop he once worked at. What a beautiful car it is. I think it has won lots of prizes and trophies I know Mark was very proud of the end product and so was the owner!!!!

I've never seen the Gone in Sixty Seconds movie but I might change that one weekend when I have some spare time. I have to say I got sick of Nicholas Cage movies and anything that just had the gratuitous car chase scene, along with dreadful remakes of great movies (the one with the mini, for example). The remakes just ruin my wonderful memories (I was a young 'un in the seventies, hence I have memories of it!).

I have another one. Check out Quentin Tarantino's movie Deathproof. Real car stunts and chases, no CGI.
