Favourite car scene in a movie 2 Years, 8 Months ago
This is my favourite car scene in a movie - Malcolm - the split car scene - What's yours?

PS tried posting the youtube link but the whole thing came over so hope that is okay. If not, I'm sure one of the moderators will let me know. Thanks.

Theres sooo many chase's but the Malcom one is a classic, Could only be an Aussie movie.
I remember there was a Custom Car builder in the US(Barris or winfield) not sure who, Who did the same thing to a 70's Chevy Nova For a TV add. Of course it was a bit more sophisticated and done on a bigger budget. Must do a search and see if I can find it.
Original Vanishing point chase screen is good aswell
Dirty Mary Crazy Larry
Ronin
The Seven Ups is another great one (Barracuda)
Mad Max(Original) Candelini wants his hand back!!!
The Italian Job(original)

Theres a whole Chunk of the World Wide Web dedicated to this topic.

This was done a few years back but mine is still the first Mad Max movie where at the start when the nightrider is chased and is killed in an awesome stunt and explodes.

Running on empty
- (no not the U.S. one with River Phoenix, its the Australian one with Max Cullen)
- The 'who needs headlights' scene, where Rev (Max) is driving his Black Chevy flat chat through the country at night with no headlights on, because he is blind.
I cant find a clip of that scene, so this one from the same movie will have to do for now

the "fox" the Black and yellow Dodge has been at ACD a few times and was for sale a year or 2 ago

The Blues Brothers - pretty well all of it, but of course the car chase at the end!

Proof (Australian movie with Hugo Weaving and a very young Russell Crowe) - blind guy is caught by police driving. Quote from youtube upload - Very funny scene from a wonderful movie called Proof starring Hugo Weaving as a blind photographer. The setup for this scene is his friend Andy (played by Russell Crowe) getting beaten up at a drive in movie. Chaos ensues.

The compilation one is excellent. Thanks Colin.

Now, I didn't expect this to be a movie car chase thread but I suppose I didn't reckon on all that testosterone.

A few more - not necessarily car chase scenes ...

Thelma and Louise ... and not just the Brad Pitt scenes ...

Ferris Buellers Day Off - ferrari scene... I love it where the friend says his father never drives the car, only wipes it down with a diaper! Now I own a PT Cruiser, I understand.

Cool Hand Luke - car wash scene ... a testosterone loaded scene that doesn't involve a car chase! Not a fave of mine, but I love a song that has come from that movie Plastic Jesus.

Bonnie and Clyde

I can't find by search the previous thread of such movie scenes, so my apologies if I am simply repeating old stuff. I'm such a newbie!

Hmmm. I did love Mad Max (the first one). We're more into bikes (sorry), so Stone would have to be our all time favourite motorcycle movie.
I can never remember the names of movies anyway - we watch so many.
