Another icon of motorsport makes way for progress










For those who don't know This is Oran Park now
Closed and being ripped up for a housing developement
these were taken last weekend
heres a before

I have several before shots some only taken recently at the last open day

Farewell Oran Park, my neighbour for the last 30 years.

I was going to say "Good one Col" but not sure about that! Tis a real shame as it's a better track than Eastern Creek as far as spectator view and getting around.
Never mind I guess thay call it progress.
Unfortunately Kim Lowrie lost her job on the closure of Oran Park.

Oran Park was very popular with the drivers, especially the long ("grand prix") circuit:

You have some great photos there Colin. I have been to Bathurst over 20+ times & looks like I've missed out on seeing Oran park in full flight. Hope you have many good memories. Cheers Steve
