TOPIC: Dust Storms - NSW
#62495
Re:Dust Storms - NSW 2 Years, 4 Months ago
Hi all, Geoff built a fantastic white pergola, which runs the length of our house,
when the dust hit, it was brown, not happy, proceeded to hose it off which turned
to mud, (should have swept it off) anyhow, the cars were under cover just a little
dusty, we just figured it was a little top soil blown in from goodness knows where.
Well if you clean your car once a week as I do, its just a routine..

Thought we may have got a few more photos but I guess no one was game to walk out side.
Unfortunately my camera wasnt working in the morning while at work in Wollongong. Once I got to Liverpool I stopped to by a new card.
These are the only pics I took once I got back to Western Sydney and some will recognise the M7 and St Mary's area. I didnt take any pics of the M7/M4 Interchange, you couldnt see it!
May be a bit hard to see on the smaller pics but you can see the road building up with dirt and as the days went by it looked like there was no tar on the sides of most roads. All the roads looked narrower.

Heading North on the M7

Heading West on the M4 to Penrith

The top of this pic would normally have the Blue Mountains in the distance. Normally a very pretty view.

Oddly enough a week later the same areas got hit by much needed rain for a few days and to wash all the evidence away and then later a hail storm covers the place in white. Very strange!

Just a comment for your safety mate. It would seem the photos were taken while driving. Same as driving while using a mobile phone.

Pull over to take the photo Dot. The safety of your PT is more important than any photo, and your safety is even more important.

100% correct ... U know I am the dotty one !! love to tease .... most photos I take look like I might be "driving" .. but that is not the case ... I see too many people in my work to know that it isn't worth it !! ... hence my sightings with NO pictures ... i take pics in my head !!
