Somewhat late
REPORT Barefoot Bowls at Rosehill Bowling club
Sunday 21st March
12 PTs and passengers, mostly new members(no idea what they're in for

)
How wrong.... we didn't know what
WE were in for
Mick and Judi started it off with Micks cousin from tassie
Of course, this means Mick's from Tassie aswell and his cousin is the head that was removed,
so he would fit in better outside of Tassie(so the story goes anyway)
After a quick trip up the now toll less M4
we arrive at our destination
After several pics and Clothes changes in the carpark
In the club we go, meeting our coach for the day,
seems Mick knows this guy aswell(Mick is a bowler)
We have a whole Bowling green to our selves
Which is lucky, as some bowled some very wide balls
with near too 100% participation it looked like it was a great idea
once everyone learnt the fundementals it was full steam ahead....Literally
With Don striking the back wall with some force,

that the bowls were bent out of shape.....the wrong way.
And who thought it was possible to get a gutter ball in lawn bowls
several members found the game to there liking
picking it up in no time (I'm not saying they were good)
a couple of ring-ins with Mick getting out his shiny red balls
and Chris(CHRI55O) bringing along some very old balls belonging to his father
Lunchtime came around very quickly
with everyone going inside to the Buffet....
Except Mick of course who couldn't stop playing with his red balls
The Buffet was one of the reasons this particular club was chosen
I had heard from several locals over the last few years
How good the buffet was at Rosehill Bowling club
I stored it in my memory for a future visit
Not even contimplating I would be able to take the club there
Well all the referrals were true it was a great lunch
with a wide variety to chose from
I don't know what they thought of us there
But we sure did keep em busy
after lunch some opted for another quick bowl
some prefered the air con comfort of inside
several raffled meat trays were won with Judi, scoring two.
Gwen tried her luck on the pokies
and of course Mick had a bowl as did several others
It was a great day of fun and laughs
Lots of Bowls as in Balls and as in food
I highly reccomend Bowls to everyone be it barefoot or otherwise
even just for fun
**Footnote**
Since we were here several weeks ago
Several members have signed up to there local Bowling clubs
