Re:Saturday August 8th - Twilight Mystery Cruise 2 Years, 6 Months ago
Due too some unforseen circumstances this mystery cruise will go down as "the Biggest Mystery" of all
Firstly, the end destination was only agreed upon around a week ago. The original destination, has, from the start of the year, been a dificult one to arrange(it would be good if we knew someone that actually "worked" there )
Since the previous trip to Helensburgh proved to be popular, Kurnell Pizza with Muscle seem to be a good alternative.
Meeting up at Harry's on a Saturday afternoon Maybe a thing of the past with the markets on and parking at a minimum.
We arrive around 3 pm To find several PT's parked at various places around the carpark. By 4.10PM we had all 11 cars ready to depart with the 12th car meeting us at our destination which was still quite a mystery to everyone. Traffic was on the heavy side for most of the trip but the procession of PT's did well to stay close together with 2 stops to allow to regroup. That was until we arrived at the Junction of the Princes Highway and King Georges Rd which at most times of the day can be on the busy side and today was no exception Well nearlly!!! I have had a few problems with my clutch in the past and was slowly getting worse infact I tried to book it in for a new one before this cruise but it proved to be a busy week at work and it could not be done until Monday. Oh well its lasted this long another day or 2 won't hurt. Wrong Wrong Wrong. Of course at the front of the pack at the lights 10 PTs behind me plus half of Sydney heading south, No gears horns and fingers waving. With quick thinking Traffic is waved down and several Strong PT drivers and Passengers comence to push our car off the main Highway. We find a carpark and grab our gear jump into the Aqua mobile and back on the road as if nothings happened. 10 PT's now arrive at our destination.
Cars get parked in formation oposite the pizza shop drawing some local attention. A few photo's taken thence we desended onto the shop with a familar face from the Helensburg restuarant to greet us. with in a short time, The presidental car rolls into the carpark at first not seeing the 10 PT's parked across the road.
Once again the pizza's were done to perfection and well worth the trip.
Kurnells Pizza with Muslce is a popular place for some of Sydney's car clubs to visit. In fact it has been so popular that when ever a club visits, they have a special trophy for the car of there choice which Chris the owners son picks. With the trophy tonight going too................David Fiona and Sophies AQUA 1 once again well done and what a great idea aswell. I know of someone who is already planning our next trip there also hinted at maybe atleast once a month trips......
After a few minor set backs and mishaps, overall most agreed it turned out to be a good night.
And making there debute in there new 2nd PT was Garry and Lynn with there Steel Blue PT already showing some personal touches of bling and modifications. Although I had my camera I was somewhat distracted and didn't get the usual amount of pics I would normaly of got.

I think this will cause 2nd thoughts on award giving in future

Once again we had a great turnout. Blue club shirts were seen everywhere
Getting alot of attention at Harry's aswell as looking great pushing a black PT along the Princes Highway With many comments coming from passing motorists on how well we looked.

And I would also like to Thank everyone again for the help and genorosity
Your a great bunch of people who no matter what, still seem to follow me. well up until last night anyway. I probably find out next cruise

Something I forgot too mention Did anyone get any Photo's of the cars BEFORE we arrived at Kurnell.
I think they would be a good addition to the post
Someone must of took a pic or 2 surely

Also my car did get picked up by tow truck when we arrived back at the car. and it was taken to Parramatta where it will be repaired first thing Monday morning.
I know several dozen photos were taken of the car being loaded onto the truck.
Damn paparazzi
