I thought I would put this post up to explain what the PTDCU NSW Committee Positions are and their Responsibilities in light of the coming AGM.


CLUB OFFICE BEARERS -

President
Chair Club Committee Meetings and Annual General Meetings
Act as Representative to the Club
Oversees all Club activities

Vice President
Deputizes for the President – Stands in when the President is not available

Treasurer
Managers Club Finances
Holds Club Cheque Book
Pays Club Accounts
Maintains Club Financial Account Book
Produces Annual Tax Report

Secretary
Take & Records Minutes to all Club Meetings
Issues any Notices to Club Meetings
Answers to Incoming Correspondence to the Club if required
Keeps Club Records of Meetings up to date

These positions generally require a good ethical background with a business or responsible manner as these positions carry the responsibility of the Incorporation.


ORDINARY COMMITTEE MEMBERS -

Public Officer
Holds Current Club Membership List
Holds Club Common Seal
Acts as Liaison for the NSW Office of Fair Trading

Membership Officer
Holds and updates Membership Listing
Receives & Responds to New Member enquiry/applications
Receives & Receipts Club Members Renewals

Cruise Controller
Produces a Year Calendar of Runs and Events
Coordinates Club Runs and Events
Responds to any Incoming Correspondence that relates to Club Runs and Events

Assistant Cruise Controller
Assists in all capacities of the Cruise Controller

Merchandise Officer
Seeks Merchandise appropriate to the Club, for sale to assist in covering Club Expenses

Other Committee Members
To assist at Committee Meetings in decision makings and help if required as a Club Representative

All of the above positions require a regular attendance to Club Committee Meetings and preferably one (1) years prior Membership with the Club.

Now with the formalities said please don’t feel intimidated or unsuited to any of these positions as there is no such position as a qualified President or a qualified Cruise Controller etc.
These are all learning positions that we just strive to do our best in with the support of fellow Committee Members and in particular Club Members.
The main requirement is that you have the ability to fit into a Club environment enjoying a relationship with fellow passionate PT people with the Club at your heart. This is just a Car Club.

I would also like to request that the more local regular participating Club Members attend the AGM treating it as a normal Club outing with the high attendance we normally have on a run! Don’t feel threatened in anyway that you may be forced into a role. Though all the Committee stands down some are happy to re-stand for a position and it’s important for the newly elect, to know they have your blessing to that role.

We need photos of members attending! We need photos of your car, so these can be added to our Home Page.

So please be a part of your AGM.

I would like to support what Ray has said about becoming more involved in your club by becoming involved in the committee. The last year in particular has seen the number of members grow on the committee with the work shared across all the roles.

Although becoming involved in the running of our club is a commitment, it is also a shared responsibility. As Ray said the most important part of being a committee member is supporting the others.

As a committee we have had a great year with good attendance at monthly runs and weekends away particularly from our new members. Most importantly we have had fun and shared friendships with fellow PT enthusiasts and cake lovers!

Please feel free to PM me if you would like to know more about any of the club roles or to express your interest in any of the positions. I look forward to seeing you all at the AGM.

Please accept my apologies for the PTCDU (NSW) Inc AGM on July 26.

That's my night shift weekend and will not be able to attend the afternoon 'meet'

I'd like to take this opportunity to thank the current Committee and Executive for their excellent work over the last year(s), just wish I was able to attend more events - which I hope is about to change - albeit a little... I sure hope you've all enjoyed holding the respective position(s), and would be great to see you continue the great work, and I also to any prospective nominee's, who wish to make an active input into the running of this great Club!! Unfortunately, I am unable to do so due to work commitments which do not allow the times required.

AGM's are often fun!! Go along and support this great club!

As my PT turns 5 just 4 days after this year's AGM, I look forward to many more years of fun and enjoyment with this Club - out cruising and having FUN!

We have a cousin staying from overseas with us and we are going "caving" on Sunday so unfortunately we will not be able to make it....but thanks to the current committee for all the work and good luck to the newies..cheers...Robyn & Pete

Finally a run we won't get lost on, We meet at the club and thats it pheeeew

Firstly many thanks to those that were available to attend and supported the Club by particpating in the AGM.
It was great to see an improvement in numbers from the past which showed the keen interest of our Members to their Club.

Well once again a wet day for the AGM and probably like me, everyone left their homes for the AGM in bright and shiny cars. How that changed! Anyway the carpark looked good with our cars in it once everyone was there.
The meeting started pretty much on time at 2.30pm with an Introduction and acceptance of last years Minutes then the Reports were read out. The previous Committee stood down with me thanking that Committee for the past years commitments fulfiled and the the Election of the New Committee went ahead.
The AGM was then closed at approx 3pm so as you can see it was straight into business!

For the 2009-2010 year this Committee is as follows -

As you can see some of the Committee is much the same which demonstrates a steady ship which is good and some have taken on more direct roles and a few new ones have come on board which we welcome.
Many thanks to everyone for the over whelming applauses when each position was called out and congratulations to those taking on roles and many thanks for the support to your club.

After the AGM everyone stayed around for coffee, biscuits....whaaaat no cake! and had a look at some of the new or old merchandise we still have.

Thank you to Fiona who assisted in the running of the AGM and I'd like to wish everyone who has taken on positions all the best for there roles. As explained at the meeting everyone is supported on their roles not only by fellow Committee Members but also by the whole club.

Only goes to show our club is only getting stronger.

We appreciate all the work done by the outgoing committee over the past 12 months & look
forward to another big year of cruising & gatherings.
