Once again Members of PTCDU NSW attended CAVOA's Charity
Show and Shine at Darling Harbour. This year 6 PT's set out in the
early ours of another wet St. Valentines Day.
Meeting up at Macca's Burwood just after 7 30 am
Johnny mac, Ray Maher, Mick & Judi and Dennis, David Fiona & Sophie
arrived arrive a few minutes after we did.
Sandy & Dean were unfortunately unable to make it.
And Jan came out for a visit later by train
After a coffee and a bite to eat The group set off for Darling Harbour.
Arriving a short time later We were directed to our parking place
This year we got a prime position on the main ramp leading up to the Bridge and
Harbourside shops Overall numbers were down on last year
But the pedestrian traffic was non stop all through out the day.
The charity benefiting from the day was Banardo's With one group
who by the way travel from the central coast with 8 cars yes all owned by the one family and a Harry's regular thought they were doing a good thing
by selling roses and teddy bears for St. Valentines Day

So of course nearly everyone bought their partners one, after all it was for charity
And someone has to have a word to Mick
buying roses for all the PT girls aswell
Yeah Thanks Mick

The rain held off pretty much all day with only a few spits throughout the day
and a bit of a shower around 2 30

As I said before the pedestrian traffic was heavy most of the day with
interest shown in all the cars and a thousand photos taken of BF/GF's in front of cars
and a million questions needed to be answered Thanks David
Speaking of David and I'm sure you will all see it But David has bought a new toy
A battery charger You know the ones with the leads and other features
Apparently bought for a very good price But thats not the reason for buying it
The reason??? It has flashing yellow lights which he made sure everyone was given a demo.

and I'm sure it was all part of the plan, when packing up to go home guess who had a flat battery???
Yep David.....

Around 3pm was the presentation and raffle draws. There were 10 trophies all voted
by the entrants this No PT's got a trophy but several members buying a few tickets in the raffle
One of Dennis' ticket earned him a prize
what looked like a flash looking wok and a few other bits and pieces in a hamper
Dennis strolls over and hands it to Jan Proud as punch.

Jan looks at the nice big heavy box with the wok and stir fry cooking
and on the side of the box "all you need for a healthy organic stir fry"
"Included in box" Fresh organic soil and four different variety of
Chinese Vegatable seeds to grow your own ingredients for a real organic Chinese stir fry..........
But no wok.......... priceless

All up it was a great day, well attended. Even thought the weather was not up to scratch
Everyone had a good time, of course there was a lot of laughs.
See you can't dampen enthusiasm even with rain
Thanks again
See you Sunday
Don't forget to bring that special ball Dennis for 2 heads
Some of the cars owned by one family 8 all up from classics to new
Some of the other things in and around the Harbour

one of my favourites
