Chryslers On The Murray Friday 12th March - Monday 15th March 2010
"Henks Run" Sydney to Albury Friday 12th March 7 00am
5PT's meet at Leos Casula plus Dean also attends with Henks ribons
Along with Sandy, Dean will make the trip to Albury later in the evening
Also on hand to see us off Was Ray the Pres in his work ute.
Phil & Tonya joining us at Pheasants Nest
Ray continued on until Mittagong where his work duties awaited
Although you could tell Ray had a hard time leaving our convoy at this point
Always next year Ray.
Continuing on our way south
The weather was clear and so were the roads with very light traffic
Stopping several times for food and fuel at Yass Gundagai and Holbrook
arriving at the All Seasons Tourist Park in Albury just before 3 pm
With 4 PTCDU NSW PT's staying here and several more staying at the usual places with everyone else
Plus Sandy and Dean arriving later in the day it looked to be a good turnout of PT's once again
With everyone settled in it was off to the local Supermarket to gather supplies
With enough food to feed several dozen people
Once this was done it was back into the cars
and a short trip down the road to visit all the other PT owners who had arrived
Several familar PT's were parked inside, some looking slightly different since last seen
Catching up with those not seen since last year and some only seen ealier that day.
Once done it was back to the cabins for dinner and a few drinks and plenty of laughs as usual
As the night wore on Sounds of Chryslers of all ages and shapes could be heard arriving in Albury
It looked to be another great Chrysler weekend

Chryslers On The Murray Friday 12th March - Monday 15th March 2010
Saturday 13th 8 00am
This year it was decided that PTCDU NSW should do abit more with the host club and follow their program
Which is put together for any who enter there car over the weekend as it is a 3 day event
Saturday morning up early to sign in and get marked off the list of entrants
Just after 8 am several PT's head out to the New Location
Once again very well set out and organised
Swap meet already underway and several cars lined up to be judged in the elite class(PT's not permitted this year)
Sandy & Dean already have there spot While looking over the area located, Bonny B, Dot and Bubs arrive
Then shortly after Steve Dury and the rest of the SA crew
Greetings exchanged, it was off for a quick look at some of the stuff on sale
Rob (R/T) who came down in his PT to get parts for his other Chrysler
May need to make a few trips due to buying alot more than he expected
as usually happens he did not get what he intended to buy, but looked like he was enjoying himself
With a few hours to spare we head back to the cabins for a great breakfast.
later in the day there is a cruise planned to Ettamougah pub which is several Klms outside of Albury.
So with a couple of hours to spare 5 PT's head out to the Hume Weir and lake and possibly some lunch
Arriving at the weir which is a very impressive sight, The largest in the southern Hemisphere...
The water level is somewhat low but according to locals and previous visitors it is a lot higher than it has been.
Back in the cars and traveling further around the lake to Bethanga Bridge
Then over to Bellbridge for an icecream and drink stop.
Where its decide to head back to Albury for a quick lunch before the cruise.
Heading back to Gateway lakes with several Chryslers heading the oposite way already
we pushon anyway to find most have already left half an hour early
So we turn around and head back to the free to Ettamougah
Arriving just after 2 30 to find hundreds of cars already parked
we find a couple of spots and join the crowd looking over the cars
This year the spotlight is on American Muscle Chryslers with
around 50 parked out the back for all to see with the crowd 3-4 deep in parts
we can only wonder how big tomorrow will be
Making the trip down from Qld the first RHD Rego'd 09 Challenger.. IF ONLY
plus two winged Plymouths making all Mopar fans drool.
Meeting up with several friends from Harry's in Liverpool Aswell as members from The Hunter Valley Chrysler Club
(They seem to be everywhere we go!!)
Certainly helped to make us feel welcome, and made for another great afternoon.
4pm we head back into town to prepare for dinner and give the cars awash
5pm arrive at the carwash and wash the cars
Near to completing Dennis(Silver & Gold) pt refuses to start
David gives a battery boost and car starts.
Parking the car to chamois, it is left running .........Just in case
After several minutes the car overheats, Drops all coolant on the ground
Quickly Dennis switches the car off thinking the worst.
NRMA is called within no time they arrive diagnose the problem(faulty battery)
7pm Dennis and David head off to buy new Battery.....
see never a dull moment.
Dinner is a large helping of great Spaghetti Bolognaise prepared by Anna.... Delishhhhh
and of course a few drinks.... and several more laughs Thanks Chris and Fiona

Not many were taken at the swap meet for some reason.

Apparently these trees were fully exposed only a few weeks ago

Guess where Tina wants to stay next year for some reason.....

Topping up the Murray

Around to Bethanga Bridge (750m)

Of course it looks better with PT's close by

Ettamogah back carpark

Now I have heard that no one likes to take there car out on a run before a major car show But no one told these guys.....
The front Carpark at ettamougah

As soon as one car left another would fills its place

Car wash later that night

awesome .... glad U had a good navigator on board to take video while driving ! wish I had my video when we merged & demerged on SAT arvo your convoy looked fabulous !! .... Plums & Roses stayed at the venue with the working mopar bub ... I went on a short Parker Pies lunch run with 2 electric Blue PTs to Rutherglen ... & had hoped to be back for the super cruise picking up Bub along the way ... but as they left at 2pm we were too late ... next year we will have to keep that in mind ... be at venue for 2pm departure ... we joined in the tail end for a few kms along the freeway going back to Motel for detailing duties !!

Phil & Tonya try doing it in Word or whatever program you have then cut and paste it onto the forum. It's the quickest way to do it without the website shutting you out.
