With Chryslers on the Murray now less than 7 weeks away it’s time to “get serious”!

It has been the practice of the PTCDU (NSW) when attending car shows that extend over a weekend to be involved in the events organised by the host club. This has also been attempted in the past at COTM, however has not always worked out that way. This year will be a little different again; the host club for COTM, the Albury Wodonga Chrysler Club have suggested that other clubs organise some events of their own because the event has become so large.

In light of this the PTCDU(NSW) Club committee decided and announced in a post on this forum in August 2012 that we would be organising a run and dinner on the Saturday afternoon/evening, with details to be posted when finalised. Although not all details are available yet (menus, pricing, etc.) we are now posting this information to avoid any confusion later.

The programme is intended for all PTCDU (NSW) club members and members of any other clubs or independents who wish to join us- everybody is welcome!

HENK’S RUN- Friday 15th March 2013

The memorial run for Henk will be as usual- we will meet at Uncle Leo’s Caltex Service Station, Casula at 8.00am for breakfast, and then depart at 9.00am sharp for the run to Albury. Usual breaks will be taken at Yass and Holbrook (both being after roughly 2 hours driving).

After arrival in Albury and check-in at the various accommodation sites there is usually a meet and greet with other attending PT/modern Mopar owners (details to follow when information is available).

Saturday 16th March 2013

We will meet out the front of Albury All Seasons Tourist Park, 481 Wagga Road Lavington departing at 8.00am for the short run to the Gateway Lakes, Wodonga for check in and for those who have pre-entered their cars in the Street Judging.
The Street Judging can take up until 2.00pm, although is usually finished earlier (check entry form for details). During this time non judging entrants can look around the swap meet at the show site, go into Albury for a spot of shopping, or just enjoy a few hours of leisure.

At 2.30pm (allowing time for those being judged) we will then meet again out the front of Albury All Seasons Tourist Park and depart promptly for a cruise to Beechworth (Vic).


We will then do a one hour ‘Ned Kelly’ tour of Beechworth, cost will be approx, $10 per head, (though if more come it will go down). After this we will drive along the Gorge Drive in Beechworth Historic Park.


This will be followed by an early (5.45-ish) dinner in the courtyard at Hotel Nicholas in Beechworth.

Details of the Menu for dinner at Hotel Nicholas:
You can choose either 2 courses (Entree & Main, or Main & Dessert) for $25, or choose 3 courses for $35.
Choice of Entree:-
(a)Soup of the day with fresh bread roll, or
(b) Salt & Pepper Squid with a citrus & yoghurt dressing, or
(c) Bruschetta, lightly grilled with fresh Salsa & Pomegranate Molasses.

Choice of Main:-
(d) Roast of the day with seasonal vegetables, or
(e)Battered Whiting with chips & salad, or
(f) Chicken Schnitzel with chips & salad.

Choice of Dessert:-
(g) Sticky Date Pudding with caramel sauce and ice cream, or
(h) Seasonal Fruit Crumble with ice cream, or
(i) Individual Pavlova with passionfruit.

I will need to know your preferred selections by Monday 11th March (either by PM, email, phone, sms, or reply here).

After dinner we will then return to Albury, allowing time for those who need to detail their cars again for Sunday (can also of course be done on Sunday morning).

Sunday 17th March 2013

SHOW DAY. We will meet out the front of Albury All Seasons Tourist Park, 481 Wagga Road Lavington at 7.50am, to depart at 8.00am for the short run to the Gateway Lakes Wodonga for the largest Chrysler show in Australia-
Chryslers on the Murray 2013.



At the completion of the show (i.e. after trophy presentations, usually around 3.00pm) we return to our accommodation for a leisurely evening meal.

Monday 18th March 2013

After enjoying a relaxed breakfast we will meet out the front of Albury All Seasons Tourist Park, 481 Wagga Road, Lavington at 9.50am, to depart at 10.00am for the journey north.

Well I couldnt answer earlier as I was waiting to see what was happening at work.
It looks like I wont be attending COTM this year which is a real shame as I really enjoy the cruise down more than anything.
Unfortunately one of my guys at work has asked for this whole month off.
Why so difficult one might ask!.... because I had to approve his Leave Request. Grrr.
Anyway at this point I\'m going to put myself down for for joining in on the \"Henks Run\" on the Friday and planning on travelling down with the club to at least Gundagai where I might just do a one night stop over returning back on Saturday.
Sunday more than likely I might be back at work.
