Please, please anyone and everyone who has made motel bookings for COTM 10 make a courtesy call to confirm your bookings.

I have had one distressed motel lady ring me today and gave me a heap of names of people who haven't confirmed and she could have filled those rooms today by other people looking for accomodation for this weekend.

This motel seems to be having all the drama's at present so PLEASE make that call or you may not have a bed for the weekend.

If you are unsure if you have confirmed then ring and make sure that you have.

Most motel policies are 'If you don't cancel and don't turn up you are usually charged for the 1st nights accomodation via your credit card." That's why they get your credit card details when you book.

Chief the gent from Hotel said thankyou ... I had already confirmed but rang JUST IN CASES !! ... two more sleeps .... IF I get any sleep that is ... !!?

No worries CHIEF the BLINGS have confirmed and are all booked in 1 more sleep and we'll be on our way down to Wagga!!

Also the reason for posting this now is
That Victoria has a public holiday on Monday 14 Mar 2011 Labour Day
Some people I know have already booked for next year
As they believe accomodation may go quicker since its a longweekend

Most at the Crystal Fountain have re booked for next year.
As Lorraine & Peter both said ( the managers ) it's easier to book now and cancel later if you can't go for 2011.

I will be reminding everyone next year to make sure they confirm wherever they book so there is no confusion for the accomodation people. They are running a business and want there motels etc full, not missing out because people forget to notify them.

If you haven't already booked then maybe now is the time to do it.

... a few did not rebook as we are hoping we could find accomodation without stairs (held a few of us back) ... COTM 2011 on along weekend ... bbugger ... I'm usually required else where on long weekends .... plenty time to see what happens on that front .... Wytchie & Bonny B have booked alternate accomodation the 4 adults in the "family" room was to say the least a little squeezie ...

We rebooked before leaving on Monday.and we have been promised a down stairs room for next year.... Chryslers on the Murray on the long weekend, will that clash with Chryslers by the Bay in Geelong? that is usually on the long weekend....

now I'm confused ... having a look ... 1st March is a Tuesday ... SO second Monday of month is COTM weekend .. but first Sunday is Geelong event & falls on the 6th ... so that should be OK ... still a major issue for me it being a long weekend ..... bugger ... thinking .. if I can tempt phantom with a home cooked meal or two & book cabin with a KITCHEN (and NO stairs!!!) that might work !!!

Maybe try All Seasons Tourist Park 2 mins from Crystal and Classic
Joan and Myself paid $80 per night for a double cabin with Kitchen and ensuite
ours also had bunks for 3 which if used were extra cost in a seperate room
Everything is supplied except food also a/c
they are also fairly new and have outside cooking area aswell
We highly reccomend them and have booked there again for next year aswell
The people who ran it were very friendly and helpful with everything asked

Oh and no stairs well maybe 2 and your own private parking spot next door to the cabin

thanks I'll keep it in mind .. I have always liked caravan parks .. still plenty of time & plenty of options very rarely do we plan so far ahead in CONCRETE ....... who knows we may not have seachange then OR we may be there full time see how the PLOT thickens ... and if it gets too complicated I may just opt out all together ... TOPIC .. those that wish to make sure they don't miss out on a great weekend & can plan that far ahead tis a good idea to book ...
