Bye Bye HRV hello PT (as of Monday!) 2 Years, 2 Months ago
Hiya,

I'm a noob and have just signed off on a 2009 Special Edition - receiving the car on Monday.
Honda HRV (great car) says goodbye to something I've been dreaming about for nearly 9 years so I'm not expecting to get much sleep Sunday night!

No-one I know will understand (!) the passion that the PT evokes amongst its admirers- so I just needed to tell someone the news and found this forum!

and so well there ya go!

Now just 5 sleeps to till xmas comes early...

We are all nuts here about PT’s so welcome. I have had a number of cars in my time with some executive high end ones and some more powerful ones but we just love the PT and I am sure you will too.

Welcome Stab... as you'll see there are all kinds of people on this forum who own PTs. Some are newbies, some have had their PTs for a long time and others own several PTs - the thing we have in common is the love we have for them.
You wont sleep Sunday night???? You will continue to feel that excitement every time you walk out the door and see your new baby there. I've had mine for 7 months now and my heart still flutters when I see her.

Where are you located?

Hey Stab!

Welcome to the PT funny farm!!

Glad you've been able to follow your 9 year dream! It only took me 4 years to get my dream, which I've had now for just over 5 years and still love it!

Give us some idea where you are! There's plenty of PT nutters all over this great country - so bound to be some fellow PT'ers near you to enjoy the passion together where your family & friends lack the enthusiasm! haha

Enjoy your day on Monday

Safe and Happy Cruising

Wow thanks for the greetings!!

It says a lot about the 'community' (and emotional attachment that this car evokes) that so many have responded!

I'm in SA for those who enquired. Might look up the SA club in the new year.
Couldn't wait till Monday so we're picking it up tomorrow!!!

Think a cruise down the bay might be in order- but the Adelaide Classic Rally is at Norwood so might head there afterward. Flash ya lights if you see me!

Can't wait to read how your first day went.
My first day I picked it up after work and drove straight to a function I had on that night, parked in a multi story carpark (near the top so I could get a spot with no cars either side) and locked up. But it took me about 10 minutes to be able to walk away. I didn't want to leave, and checked I had locked up properly about 50 times Then couldn't wait to leave, even though it was a good function, just because I wanted to be back in my PT.

Thanks all for invites and welcome!

What a day.

Signed on the dotted line after lunch with all the fanfare (!) and excitement.
Bombed out for a few hours and took some pics.
Drove to the street party for the Adelaide Classic Rally @ Norwood and oggled rally cars and Ferraris!

Still can't believe we finally have this car - feel like a million bucks whenever we get in it.

The guys at Adrien Brien Chrysler made us feel like royalty.

Here's some pics of the 'pick up'.
