TOPIC: Another writeoff
#63095
Another writeoff 2 Years, 3 Months ago
Yesterday Annette and I was returning to our PT and we noticed a family of three kids ,mum and dad all peering into "BLUEY" and they were very appologetic when we arrived.
They were missing their PT. Some of you guys might remember a green PT with chrome side pipes and PT covered tail lights when you came to Dubbo. I seems that dad had to take his car to work as the ute he wold normally take hade been traded in and the replacement wasn't ready: so you guessed it just outside of Cobar he hit a roo writing his car off but no injury to himself.

so another one bites the dust!!!

so drive safely you guys

cheers Phil:S

Not a good thing to hear. Atleast no one was hurt(Except the roo of course)

I do remember the PT and I've had a quick look through my photo's and found a couple from when we were in Dubbo

Yeah never good when it gets damaged, but worse when its no longer repairable.
Soon as you mentioned it I knew which one it was, as I liked the side pipes when I first saw it.

Sad to say Ray while I did offer advice on a replacement PT they had a new "micra "

because of the "deal" the dealership offered them.

Bummer. As said above by Phil no one hurt except the roo and we can only hope these people can replace that PT with another one possibly from the sale section on this forum or if I can remember correctly only a couple of weeks ago there was an 02 Inferno Limited listed for sale on one of the car sale sites and situated in Dubbo. Not sure whether it was carpoint or carsales. Had a quick look but can't find it at the moment. Will look further into it over the weekend if I have time.

Micra? Must have been a bloody good deal! Thought the guy was not hurt? Seems like he was still in shock when he bought the replacement.

Hi there Firefly.

Last school hol's we were staying at the lake side cabins at woolgoolga,
when I noticed a big mob of roos at the model flying club. Because I was rubbernecking at that mob,Annette drew my attention to an even bigger mob on the opposite side of the road. This spprised me as I often saw roos as an inland problem.
We are going back to the cabins sometime over the christmas new year 30th/4th
So next time up your way we be more carefull.

cheers Phil

Looks like no one hurt (other than the roo) but still I vividly remember the encounter I had almost two years ago that put Bonny Blue off the road for almost 4 weeks. Had to pinch the cabrio to go to Canberra as I needed wheels more than steffi.

These roos seem to jump out of nowhere, don't they? And an ever growing problem now with the drought and them searching for feed and water.
Take care one and all when travelling and TRY to avoid them if you can.

BUT the surprise one was .. a BIG roo (RIP) on the edge of road ON the WESTERN ring rd .. this is classed as SUBURBIA!!! ..

Slightly off topic but it is the roos. They will go almost anywhere for a feed.

Only a couple of weeks ago I saw one hopping happily along Fernleigh road here in Wagga at sunrise and crossing the railway line. For those that no where this is, also suburban. You just never know where they are. And as quick as they are, so is the damage they cause when someone comes in contact with one.
