Hi Chris I did hear of someone having the same problem after they moved the steering wheel. As for proper speed we always check with Bluey who has the most accurate speedo in the club.

Good morning Chief

I didn't really have a plan B when I did my last post, only trying to impress.

But I received a good suggestion from another member .. " recheck the fuses " as even though they may look OK to the eye, they might still have blown.

Yes, the forum is a great vehicle of information and support.

Geoff, my problem just happened...I only noticed it after I leave Westfields.

I am not going too far this week-end so it could well be a visit to auto-electrician on Monday morning

In the mean time, I haven't given up.

Cheers all
Chris

All the suggested things done but no change.

Took the cruiser to auto-electrician who identified an instrument cluster fault
but I wasn't 100% happy with him for a number of reasons so went to Suttons / Chrysler in Hornsby.

Confirmed the problem and they are sourcing one from overseas.

I guess the thread is closed......well hopefully.

Many thanks for the help and guidance

Chris

PS.

Forgot to mention that this problem meant I lost the manual driving function but not auto.

Interesting about the manual part being lost. Off topic a bit,but how long has Suttons been a Chrysler dealer. Blue Gum Hotel Across the road used to be a favourite watering hole. and I lived in Unwin ave . I thought Suttons was always a holden dealership

Re:INSTRUMENTS NOT LIGHTING UP OR FUNCTIONING 1 Year, 6 Months ago
Suttons rang at lunch time today to say they had located a suitable cluster in Germany but not for the originally quoted price of $730-00 but $1700-00.

Told them I would give it some thought and get back to them in a few days as I will not be rushing this.

They have been handling Chryslers around here for about 12 months or so and yes just across the road from the Blue Gum FireFly.

The cluster on ebay sounds interesting and I will have a look but I am not mechanically minded

But I am leaning heaps and I hope you locate that info you mentioned Chief

Cheers

OK I have two places you could try
Automaster on Parramatta Rd Burwood They are an auto electrician who specialises in Chrysler
If you go there tell them I sent you (Parramatta Motor Group/Lincorp)
and the other is in Lidcome On the corner of East and James street
They are a instrument Cluster repair I don't know the name of the company though

Col, would you believe that I was given Automaster's name by somebody in this
building only an hour ago .....what a small world...sounds like they have state of the art equiptment.

My neighbour reckons they are the best in their field and I will speak to
them for sure and if necessary the other mob as well

This thread could end up being a "best seller" by the time it concludes.

Thank you Col

Parramatta Chrysler and Wagon Wheels Chrysler in Burwood have been using Automaster for over 20-30 years They know a thing or two about Chrysler and are very friendly
If you do pay a visit you go in through the back lane ways and don't be put off by the run down building.......

Found it and bummer it's more on the replacement of bulbs etc in the dash and not the actual cluster or instruments not functioning but I will still look and ask the question over there and see if I can get an answer for you.
