Sorry people but i have an email sent to me from the top . Fiat unveils plan for chrysler group. It is a big email so i will only highlight. Models set to be dumped are jeep patriot, jeep commander , pt cruiser, dodge caliber, dodge dakota and dodge viper. A sedan replacement for the pt cruiser using the alfa romeo milano platform and a new version of the sebring. The dodge challenger, charger, journey,nitro and grand caravan are all set for major updates by the end of 2011.The caliber will be replaced by an all new model. Fiat will use its current platforms to underpin the new dodge models.The last vipers will be a final 500 special editions.There is a drop top 500c arriving in 2011. Given the size and scope of this announcement, expect the full ramifications to unfold over the coming weeks and months.

I read some where that the Viper will stay on.Who knows what they will do, all these rumors around that this will go & this will stay.Will just have to wait & see what happens.

Exactly, all models come to an end sooner or later, Can only hope whats waiting will be just as good or better.
And the way ownership's are going it could be entirely different in 12 months time.
There have been more great cars from Chrysler Corparation over the years than any of the others
I mean if the popularity of the old cars is anything to go by PT's will be around for a lot longer yet
I have seen more PT's well looked after than PT's that are neglected and trashed

Yes. They were going to kill the PT earlier, remember? Now it's into 2010.
I'd love to see the PT on a diet with new engines/transmissions - much as was done to the Mini - don't ruin the strong points and looks....
