Looking around today I found a link that is somewhat a little interesting so thought I'd stick it on here to see what others may have heard or seen.
It seems as though there could be another one, maybe..............or are they classifying this one as a 2010 model?

2010 PT or not?

I'll stick with my 01....gota be old to be a classic plastic
I dont like what they did to the grill and center console in the later models and that one has a grab rail "YUK!"...........

The one released now will be the Chrysler 2010 MY.

Hey our pt is a late 06 model,one of the yucky ones???.Grab handle what grab handle?.I should go back and complain I am feelind ripped off..

concure with Wendy .. vehicles released last quarter of year are usually for the next year .. & grab handle was STD in left hand drive in EU from the update in 2006 ... nick named the tea towel rack ... think it was left out on RHD due some ADR ref Air bag or was it to save a few cents !! ?? Jeepstar thought it was Practical as a seat !!

Yeah I have to admit that I am also not a lover of the new grill. To me the whole retro look for the PT was the grill and the front wheel arches and I think the new grill takes that head turning look away. Also never liked it on the 300c but this is just my opinion. There's bling and there is too much bling. As for the grab handle, it's ok in the Wrangler but not a car. They must have had some old plastic and aluminum hanging round the factory that they needed to shift.

Funny that the above link for the 2010 model doesn't show the new chrome grill it shows the normal one.

Magpie ... YOUR PT is MOST definaltely NOT one of the yucky ones !! NO succh thing as a yucky PT !! .... must admit I was not a lover of the NEW interior at first .. but it has grown in me esp after having used one for a few days & noting the subtle details ( WE don't need a twoel rail!!) .... STILL betterer than MOST of the other vehiles on offer !! .. took me a second read of complete topic ( when I got home) to see that comment!! .....

Can't wait for the (supposed) 2011 facelift myself.

Hopefully they will put back some of the uniqueness that the Accountants took away when they Homogenised the lower grill to blend in with all Chrysler Vehicles on the "World Stage".

With an Italian at the helm, maybe we will see some Style again.....!

I don't like the sound of there being one basic PT (albeit with a few options) because one of the joys of buying a PT was the plethora of options and personalisations available - a la the almighty Mustang.

I don't know. They killed the High-output turbo, killed the convertible, then wonder why sales fell?? I hope some sane management prevails...

There is an article in our local paper on the 2010 PT Cruiser with a picture
They appear to have flattened the front a bit and fitted a mesh grille. I don't like it very much. Also have chromed the spears on the bottom of the doors.
