why did you choose to get a pt??

and im loveing my pt

Chrylser has been my car of choice since I was 18 which was a couple of years back now.
I have owned other makes aswell but always had a chrylser or 6 in the yard
Mid 40's Bought the PT because I liked the look and it was the best value compared to other new Chryslers
Best car I've owned as its changed my whole lifestyle completely

I have a 2005 LTD auto tis my second PT .. got PT1 initially for practicality the ease of passengers getting in & out of the front seat & getting a walking frame & wheelchair in .. I had always LIKED the PT style but it was NOT till the mother in law needed it that I got my wish ... PT1 was no longer required and Phantom wanted me to get SOMETHING else with a bit more POWER for when he drove instead of his V8.. three months late and many rif raf test drives Plums & roses joined the family & is NOT about to leave any time soon ! wish I had one when I was 18 that was ONLY a couple of umm dec ... years ago !! .. KYFISHER lucky U what year & "model" do U have? .... figured it is stock (still) and dark grey & somewheres in SYDNEY .. & WE are ALL young at heart !!OR as old as e feall .. umm that is debatable at times !! Happy cruisin !!

Mr Kyborg .. as it stands you may be the "pup" , we are all the same age .... "at heart"" ... !!
I had a couple of Morris Minors that passed away on me ... then back in 2000 when I first saw a PT , I chased it down the street because I did not know what it was , from then on it was a case of waiting the right moment .. at middle age crisis ( what crisis...!!?? = Supertramp ) I got myself one .

For me its all about stance, style, feel.
I have had many MANY cars in my 40 years but the PT is sitting as 2nd on my list of all time favorite.. close 2nd to my beloved 20 year obsession "Tiny" 59 chev belair.
ohh at last count there has been 49 vehicles through my garage door. many HQs and mid 70s kingswoods.

Lost count of how many cars I've had in my lifetime. ( I do know it's cost a LOT of money )
Have modified many a car and at this late stage in life I would say our 2 PT's stand out at the top of the list.
I've had 4,6,and 8 cylinder cars but these 2.0 ltr PT's are the best.
Possibly my next choice on my list would have to have been my modified HX Sandman Panelvan ( no stories given away here, family forum ) followed by my rebuilts of both an EH ute & sedan. Why did I ever sell those 2 I will never know...................stupidity at the time I suppose and a bigger and better challenge.
By the way I'm about some age between 50 & 60.

This seems a nice 'get to know you' thread

We are in our mid 40's (you won't get more than that yet! ) and bought the PT as Sharon wanted something "funky" to drive around in It's such a good little car that we've taken an interest in joining the club and so on.

This is actually our first Chrysler, although my dad did have a VH station wagon in the early '80's.

Myself, I've been mainly a Ford man: had an XB coupe, XB Fairmont, XE, EB, and my dream car an XY (351, top loader, 9" etc etc). But that was stolen and we got into 4WDs after that ("no more hoon cars" I can still hear the words ), and have had a Toyota 4Runner and now an 80 Series LandCruiser (my money pit ).
