Hi all!

Firstly, to introduce ourselves: I'm Tony and my wife is Sharon and we have 2 daughters (Tegan 15 & Shelby 12).

Our interest in PT's started when a relative bought one a few years ago, and we thought it was a pretty funky looking car At the time we had just bought two cars, but alas the time has come to upgrade one, and Sharon was pretty adamant she wanted a PT! So, who am I to argue! The search began, and we found a neat 2001 Classic with our name on it, and what better time to buy than Sharon's birthday

So from yesterday Sharon is the proud owner of this plum beauty:

Now this is technically not our first "Cruiser", as I have a 'LandCruiser' and we are members of a 4WD club. So we are thinking about joining you fine folks on a PT cruise or two!

The big q is: how do we get involved? Is there a 'joining process' etc? I have had a look around the site but can't really find much, except info on the 'monthly cruises.'

Or do what I did turnup at one of the gatherings(Harry's Liverpool for me 2 years ago)
or a spectator at darling harbour on the 14th Feb or the Feb club run
this way you can see how many heads we have without getting to close.....

You can attend a run or 2 to help you decide if the club is for you aswell.
Be warned it can be addictive But loads of fun

As Col said, go to a couple of runs and see who the people are, you maybe surprised at some, ( no only kidding ) and what others have done to their PT's as the addiction maybe a little heavy for the piggybank if you know what I mean.
We have 2 of them along with a number of other owners on this site, so get in there and become another of the MADDENING PT crowd.

Buying the PT has changed our lives completely. We were bikers (not bikies) for most of our lives and our cars were just something we drove to work to keep our clothes dry. Our holidays every year were spent touring the country on the bike, and every weekend was out on the bike. Since buying the PT, we have met a terrific group of people who we now consider family. Our discussion at the dinner table is cars and how much bling we can put on them. The Gold Wing Trike has been sold and we've purchased a 1970 Valiant Regal to do up. So we are now a 2 Chrysler and 1 Toyota family. It can become addictive but hey just hang on and enjoy the ride. WELCOME!!!

We've been camping the last few days, so haven't checked in until now.

Hmmm, lots to consider, and with our 4WD club activities about to resume it looks like a busy year!

We will likely do as 'The Chief' suggested, and come along as visitors to get to know you guys (and you get to know us... not sure which is scariest! )

Until then, we'll keep track of things in here.
