2000 Commemorative medalion 6 Months, 4 Weeks ago
Just wondering if anyone out there recieved one of these when they purchased their PT in 2000
I receive this off a good friend a week or so ago(classic Chrysler owner)
My friend recieved it off a insurance saleman when he saw that he owned a Valiant asked him would he be interested in a medalion

Apparently they were given to all new PT buyers back in 2000
aswell as a Leather bound portfolio.

I now have both
although a little worse for wear

Never ever have I seen that medallion anywhere across the world - we got a solid key chain as one of the first owners.

I have one of those portfolios also - although I remember it being made by Ken in Coffs Harbour not given out by Chrysler???

The portfolio I got out of a repo PT about 5 years ago when I worked at the car auctions So not sure about their history
That was until a few months ago when a friend of mine who owns an old Valiant, Was getting his insurance renewed.
The insurance salesman who came out to his house saw his old Valiant and said how he used to own a PT.
One of the first to own a PT in Sydney.
When he purchased it he was given the medalion and the portfolio to commemorate the purchase
The salesman had since sold the PT on but had kept medal and potfolio and asked if my mate would like them
Of course he said yes although not a big PT fan he still accepted them.
Then a few months back he told me the story and asked if I would like the medalion as he had no need for it
But the portfolio he would keep as he uses it all the time
He still has the original pen with "2000 Launch PT Cruiser" engraved
Aswell as the writing pad and envelopes with the same letter head

You might have to check with Keith, Pete & Craig to see what they got. Could have been a local/dealership thing.
