OK

Have done a couple of hundred km's on the new Toyo tyres so far and initial impressions are good. Much quieter that the Gooyears especially in the wet (Which I had lots of coming home from Sydney on Sunday). They are a softer compound and the harsh tyre slap is all but gone, replaced with just a dull thud.

The only down side I can seee at the moment is that the tyres don't have the thick rim protector on the sidewall of the tyre. This means I will have to be more careful of gutter rash on the wheels as the tyres won't offer the same amount of protection as the Goodyears.

All up very happy. I'll just have to se how the ware goes to see if the savings on the purchase price are worth it in the long run.

Reduction in noise level is just what I would expect comparing CCPTs Pirellis with my Goodyears. Looking forward to getting new wheels and getting rid of the Goodyears.

BTW CCPT actually has P7s and not P6 as I originally indicated. Even better deal than I thought. His wheels don't have any protection from the tyres either, but then his rim design is such that the spokes bludge way out past the tyre. He cringes whenever his mother drives his car.

About 6-7 weeks ago, I put on a set of Michellin PP2's

I've had Michellin's on previous cars and never had a complaint, they drive very nicely

I'm happy!

No complaints with the Toyo's. Now done about 5,000 km with no dramas. In fact I think they are better than the original Goodyears. Seem to be a lot smoother
