Sway Bars 6 Years, 1 Month ago
Had the car back at the dealers yesterday as the were going to replace the motors in the windows as they were ratteling. It turns out that after the windows were tinted they didnt tighten them enough in the bottom track. They gave me a courtesy pt and i noticed that it had sway bars under it as mine doesnt. They dont know why mine doesnt as they said Chrysler said it should.Sway bars on they way at no charge turns out to be a good day at the Dealers

Rear sway bar was deleted from the 2003 or 2004 model onwards.

Rob Let us know how you go. We might all be able to scam a rear roll bar out of this.

By the way, d you take your car to Gosford or the guys at Wyong?

They were very good to me when I had the stereo installation issue.

For convenience though I take mine to Wyong. I can leave it before hours and pick it up after hours and they are right across the road from the train station. They're all part of the same group so if they get stuck the Chrysler guys are just a phone call away.

rear sway bar 6 Years, 1 Month ago
Seems strange that the rear bar is no longer fitted as I find the car tends to understeer is pushed around corners, and a rear bar would help to reduces this.
Has anyone else found that thier car understeers (or goes wide or pushes the front)

Can't say I've noticed it that much. This is my second FWD car and compared to my last car (Hyundai Excel) it's much better handling, even if it;s got a bit more roll. Comes from the tall body I suppose

Mine has front and rear sway bars, but lunged into corners and felt unsteady around tight bends.
Since having fitted lowered springs it now steers like its on rails but still has a smooth ride over bumps.

Correct. So if you buy a sway bar, you also have to buy a mounting kit.
Not very hard to install - just back up onto ramps.
