Lowering rear only 4 Years, 3 Months ago
|
|
|
I had my PT lowered 1.5 inches at the rear only today.
I think the handling has improved and the car feels like it sits better on the road and is better balanced. I also really like the look.
The big gap between the rear wheel arch has reduced and I don't think I will have clearance issues because the front is still the same height.
1.5 inch lowering springs were not easy to find but eventually I found Aurora springs PH: 08 83462276. The springs cost $148 and postage was $20. I had them fitted at an exhaust place who charged $60.
Thanks QuicksilverDon for the tip.

I think the front end clearance is about the same as before.
A 1 inch drop would also be good. The wheel arch to tyre gap at the back with a 1.5 inch drop is smaller than at the front on my PT. A 1 inch drop on the back would probably make them about the same.
