Was washing the cruiser on Sunday (as we all do) and found that what I thought was brake dust on the front left wheel was in fact oil.

Thinking that this was not right, removal of the front wheel for a quick look was in order. It was not a prety sight,

oil from the front strut was from half way up the spring to the bottom of the strut and around the inner guard area. The disk and caliper however didn't look to have any on them.
Thinking that this was going to be my first occurance with bashing heads with the local Chrysler dealer (Wagga City Chrysler Jeep) I took the car in Monday morning. Service manager not there, could I come back in 1 hour. Here we go I think.

Returned 1 hr later to meet the service manager, he had a look at the problem and agreed that the strut had blown its seal. He then advised that they would order a new strut from SYD that day and will give me a call to bring the car in for repair when it arrives (before X-Mass).
He then explained that as the car only had 3300km on it there was no need to replace both struts as there would be no differance in dampering characticts between new and 3300kn old. They would also check the brake pads and if oil contaminated woujd replace as a full set (both sides).
Have not been called by the dealer as yet hopefully not to far away. The way this has been handled so has been excelent. When I was looking to buy the Cruiser I first tried this dealer, best price for a Classic was RRP + on road costs. Would not give anything that looked like a deal. Went to a deader in Albury, did some haggling and got a 03 model Tourer (15km) for less than the RRP of Classic.
Mybe there is a lot of difference between the new car sales guys and the workers out the back in spares and service.
Will keep all advised on the repairs.
