Camber Adjustment 6 Years, 11 Months ago
Any one know where to get a front camber adjust kit locally for the PT.... the front end is the same as the neon.... some US mobs list the neon & PT with same part numbers for camber kits.

K-mac do camber adjust bolts but they quoted me $130 plus $16 for air bag post....ow...

heard of anything cheaper?

Camber Bolts 6 Years, 6 Months ago
Monroe have Camber bolts to suit the 14ml Bolt on the PT Cruiser
Part no is MC114 (Magic Camber Bolt) and they cost $113.00 for both front wheels, if you have trade contacts they will be cheaper.
Any one who supplies Monroe Shockers should be able to get them.
I have fitted some to my PT and they work well and give plenty of adjustment, They are a good size not made smaller to fit like some on the market.
Hope this info helps

Thanks for the info guys.

I was looking at the Kmac unit for the simple reason that it is not a cam or crank bolt set-up. Their method uses a conventional bolt with a double cam washer arrangement at each end. This requires the bottom plates of the strut to be drilled out so the cams fit into the plates. You then fit a fork clamp waher to the end of the bolt to hold it all in place. I think i have described it right....

If you want some more info email me and i will forward a pdf i have.

From memory it sounds and looks very similar to the camber adjust system Ford used on the 1962-64 105E Anglia.

I have spoken to a couple of mechanics and they seem to prefer the Kmac to the crank bolt method. purely from the point of view that the cam bolt method can leave you with a reduced diameter size bolt. As they consider those bolts very important to keeping the front wheels/hubs on the vehicle ans are sized to suit the loadings going undersize leaves it open for a failure. but being a conservative bunch the drilling out of the strut plates may sit with them better as the lesser of two evils.
