Do I require a special pulling tool to remove the steering wheel/airbag or is it reasonably straight forward.Needs to be removed to put in cruise control in.Thanks Steve

I fail to see why you'd have to pull the wheel to put in cruise control. 2 screws hold the steering column housing together - unsnap them and them and you can get at the base of the steering wheel area. I replace the light stalk on my daighter's PT and the cruise stalk is on the on the other side.

Had aftermarket cruise control installed - no need to pull everything apart - just the housing to run the wires through and put the stalk on it...

Wait till after the long weekend and when some of the others get back from their trip they'll be able to answer you. I have had my blinker stalk replaced twice and everything is all together there once the housing is removed. I can't see any reason to remove steering wheel once you have had the cover off to have a look.

Hi Steve

I must admit I haven't replaced the cruise control unit but as Chief said
two screw from under the steering column housing then split the housing and
all the wiring and cabling is usually there for the genuine mopar parts
replacement or installation.

You do need to take the steering wheel off to put in the new clock spring.
(First disconnect the battery)Once you take off the two piece cover you will see to knob shaped lugs these are a bit hard to pull through the wire clip so you'll need a screw driver to lever them open a bit from the bottom of the steering wheel. You will also notice that the first will pop out and as you try the second the first one will try to pop back in so be patient and just keep a little pressure on them.
Once you have the horn button/air bag off disconnect the wires and from there you're instructions should make sense.
While doing al this try and keep you're steering straight I can't remember if they have a master on the spline.
