Mural on rear window - does this obscure vision? 2 Years, 8 Months ago
Hi all

I love the idea of putting a mural on the hatch window but I have a question - does this obscure vision in any way?

I have read that very dark tints windows affects night driving vision. But not sure about the murals. I've often seen murals on buses and found that these did not seem to affect a passenger's vision (or I would have missed many a stop!). But it might be different for the driver (at least would explain a lot! ).

I'm an old fashioned driver who looks out the rear window when reversing rather that using the mirrors (particularly that dreaded one that says objects in mirror are closer than they appear).

Your advice appreciated.

Cheers

Hi Pink Panther

I have not had one of these, but I believe from inside the car vision is quite clear. Blue Moon and Bettie (both from PTCDU Qld) have these on their cars and Plums and Roses from Victoria has one (Ummm...I think she still has one). Put this post on the PT Cruisers Downunder forum and Blue Moon and/or Bettie will reply there.

Cheers Kym

I have a Mural on the back window of PALOT and the answer is no it does not reduce or restrict you view at all.

I had my windows tinted before I picked up my PT. I got my rear mural put on my first week I think. It doesnt look much darker than tint to look out from inside, only negative is when raining the water pools in the little holes & u cant see out but the easy fix for this is rear demister works a treat:)
Other neg or bonus....if someone tailgating u or annoying u they cant see u give em the .!. out your back window
anyway a google search for vehcile wraps should find something in your area, take your pic with u on a usb memory pen & most will show u what it will look on your car within minutes on a computer
