Lowering from 15" to 18" wheels. Should it be done 5 Years, 7 Months ago  
I have just gone from 15" mags to lovely 18" Chromes. I am not too fussed about the gap though! (aparant as it is) I was told that "standard" lowering will drop the gap about 2")

I want to get rid of the gap but don't want to compromise the driving a lot. This car is driven every day, but I am thoughtful of bumps/ditches/etc needed for lower tyers.

What should I Do????

Consider lowering the rear only - the rear has the larger gap, the rear springs are MUCH easier to do, and the ride stays good. I've lowered both my PTs in the rear only - as long as you only drop 2 inches or less, the ride is fine.
Improves cornering, too.....

I’d say go for it too. You may be safer sticking with an inch and a half. Any lower than that you do start running into troubles depending on driveways and roads where you live.
