Breezer Rear Window replacement 6 Years, 10 Months ago
I am looking at putting a double rear window on my PT, the Breezer brand fits instead of the factory glass. Can anyone advise if they are legal in Qld. They are in smoke colour or the outline can be painted to match factory colour.

Dept of Transport regs state that the rear window can be blacked out or covered completely as long as you have side mirrors and the rear window has no reflective covering - which is why those coloured and metallic tints are illegal! I went through the process when originally getting my holographic rear tint done.

Thanks for the info Wendy. Thought this would look really good - we may have a new airbrush on the back of the silver one soon. Stay tuned........

What is your hologram on the rear window?

Yeah... I want to do the rear window too... an oval one... but don't wanna have to do the whole back door rebuild...

That site says it "installs over your existing rear window" ???
...no rear door rebuild!!??!!

...and it's legal in NSW??

I want one!!

It's true Gizzy Boy!!! I think the hardest part is removing the rear wiper mechanism! There is a downside - if you thought rear visibility was bad now......................

Dean,

We have spoiler on rear and thought just having the window replaced would be good. Still have to get rid of the rear wiper. The overlay you can get sounds okay but have read on some of the other forums that you can get dirt, moisure etc between original one and new window. I think the overlay one is the Willpak brand??

Yeah, it's the Willpak kit... and I dont have a spoiler (gangster cars didnt have spoilers )

Visibility - what's that?? LOL

I think I can handle removing the wiper mechanism, and the3rd brake light seems easy enough... what's this about dust and moisture

Dean . If your not in a hurry,{I am,},wait till my one gets here , my Brother outlaw,{sorry} inlaw, will check it out, & depending on orders, he"ll make up a mould, would be cheaper plus no Shipping.
I have the Whale Tail{spoiler}, takeing that off, he"ll cut the hole for Brake Light ,{inWillard}, paint it, stick it on, Whale tail back on top, easy.
Wiper will lose, keep in touch if your interested, {or anyone else}

From what a friend in the States said, the cover doesn't butt up against the rear window fully so you do get dust and moisture between both. Although she's now making an internal trim kit to match the Willpack cover so you can't see the muck from the inside!!!
