Hi All
Quick question.
My B Pillar black surfaces are getting a blue like streaky finish on them any idea on how to clean it. It has been happening since water restrictions started and I have been washing the car at car lovers like places.

Hi murf
Thanks for the tip to remove it, it wasn't car lovers exactly but a servo with one of those wash yourself bays. It was good when it was new but now it is a few months old I have noticed residue after every wash. I told the owner and he said next wash would be reduced but I have not been back and am not keen to do it again.

It's just a recycled water thing. Car wax works well keeping the markings at bay. Or get them cleaned under warranty. There is a TSB released back in 2001 for this problem and if it can't be cleaned then they should be replaced.

G'day guys,
I was going to bring up the same problem Grunt, but found that car polish brings them up fine, after trying a few different things (will give the kero a go next week). I wash mine in the brushless laser wash and thought it might have been a residue from one of the sprays. The rest of the car seems to come up fine, so I wasn't all that concerned once I used the polish on it.
What's the issue with car lovers? I find these places convenient with the water restrictions in place, but keen to hear if they are going to hurt my baby in anyway.

Don't worry about Carlovers Pete. You get the same markings in hard water areas too. Just keep up the polish and if things get too bad, a quick once over with clay bar can help.
