sideview mirrors 2 Years, 5 Months ago

my 03 has a broken electric side view mirror. the mechanism that moves the mirror casing in and out from the body doesnt work. (the mechanism that moves the mirror within the casing works fine). you can hear the mechanism working, but it is not driving the mirror.
My thought is that it is a dislodged gear/cog. Is this a common problem and is it easy to fix.... before i take it apart and play.
cheers, craig

Most sparkys would do an assembly replacement, as that is the way it comes new.
But if you can pull it apart do so I haven't, as I haven't had one go but I
would attempt to fix it first, then simply put my hand in the pocket and buy a
new one if unfixable.

thanks, that sounds like a plan... have a go, and if too hard take it to the pros. Just thought someone may have had some experience with them.
I think i may have sourced replacements for a reasonable price if i need to do a complete replace
cheers,
Craig
