New Service 7 Months ago
Hi,Had the PT serviced (96000 Km's) today at the new Chrysler Dealers in Wagga Wagga (Wagga Motors,Holden). An impressive looking service center that was a little short on impressive service.Saying that he did say this was the first PT Cruiser done.

After the car was returned I was informed it still required the leads replacing which they did not have & quoted me $200 plus labor for these.

QUESTION - Is this a reasonable price for genuine leads - where is the best place to get a set(genuine or performance). Car has no engine mods at the moment.

I live in a small town(not Wagga) with 1 car dealership & appreciate all replies that will assist me. Cheers Steve:unsure:

And if you have a small amount of technical knowledge they are easy to fit and only take about 30 minutes. Would replace plugs at the same time if going though the work of undoing and lifting the manifold up to get the leads in.

Here's how to do it yourself -
www.ptcruiserlinks.com/forum/tech-perfor...park-plug-guide.html

Only '01 & '02 PTs had "vanity cover" and EGR, so it gets simpler with later models.

vhcruiser contact me personally by pm and I'll give you my email addy.

I just purchased plugs and leads from Bleam in Qld and had my own mechaniic in Wagga fit them. Allan is very reasonable with his prices compared to what I was quoted in Wagga. All up they wanted around an extra $60 or so for the parts and that's without fitting.

The new dealer only has one "Chrysler" mechanic from the old place who only started work on monday this week but they are going to send a couple more away to the "Chrysler" school in the future. between now and then. who knows............
