Sunday the 28 October was our annual Family Show Day held a Wigley Reserve, Glenelg. After an early start by the committe, plus Rob & Karl by 8.45 everything was set up ready for the influx of Cruiser that were due to leave in convoy form BB's cafe a Mile End at 9.30.
In excess of 40 PTs made an impressive sight as they made there way onto the reserve ( not forgetting to mention the multitude of air horns, sirens, musical horns etc) & veery quiclky we had them all in place & in no time at all the show cars were being set up & preened.
The official welcome speech was given with special mention to Deb & Paul Roughly who had travelled down from QLD & also Gwen & Don Darby from Wagga Wagga , a few novelty trophies were given out (i'm sure photos will appear soon) & the run down for the days events were announced.
The day was spent perusing the cars , socialising, purchasing items from the club shop, perusing the cars again & generally having a great time.
The day wrapped up with Trophies for the best 3 Cars
1st Paul Knight with KRUZ
2nd Mandy & Steve Drury with MASPT 5
3rd Mel & Rob Marshall with ZEBRA 3 &
Peoples Chioce Anita Baily with CRAZI 1

Plus Medicine Women donated 3 Tophies for cars not in the judging section with John: PT73, Rob: 2005PT & Jenny & Ian taking home the awards.

With the Raffle drawn & the Auction of some collectible PT items over it was time to pack up & bid farewell to new found friends untill next time.

Some REFLECTING views of our Show Day

Would first like to say we had a great welcome by everyone at the Friday Cruise and the SA Show Day - was more than well worth the trip.
Renewed old friendships and made some great new friends also.
Excellent report Steve - very hard to express what the event was like unless you were there to experience the great family atmosphere of the SA Club members and their families. Anyway........
Good creative photography young Dennis - was good catching up with you and Patricia (the knitter) again and was pleased Patricia won a Club trophy - we all know what for!!!! \
Haven't had time as yet to upload Show Day photos, as have been very busy since arriving back in Wagga.
Have got some photos of the Friday night cruise from Big carpark, Cumberland Park, to Villi's Cafe, Mile End. Was a very good cruise.


I think there were about 15 PT's heading out on this cruise.





Cruised through the main streets of Adelaide and into the yuppie districts. Then arrived at Villi's Cafe.



Everyone had too much to eat - especially sweets - and what the heck are you going Zebra3? Can't let you out on the town without supervision!!!

Well done Don good report on what happened Friday night, forgot to add that we get a few members together on the Friday night prior to show day to meet any Interstaters & have a short cruise around Adelaide & then a bite to eat.

A visitors perpective of SA Show Day '08.
Would first like to congratulate the committee of PTCCCSA for a fantastc event - you all really put on a great Show. Secondly, would like to extend appreciation to Mandy and Joanne for their tireless efforts at the Club Shop - they did a great job on the day =D> \ =D> - plus also their drop-in helpers occassionally. =D>

Well, everyone met at BB's Cafe, Mile End, for a great start to a great day.

First photo is which is being taken, is eventually the 1st place winner in the Show Day judging - good on ya son! Other shots are of a general nature, in preparation for a PT convoy cruise to Wigley Reserve, Glenelg.



Everyone got to meet each other, have a cuppa and generally socialize before we had a group photo taken and departed.

Arriving at the Show Day site the PTs were put in two semi-circles - front row for judging in the in section and the second row for judging for the Medicine Womans trophies, sponsored by D&G Darby Pty. Limited from Wagga Wagga, NSW.


Steve Drury, President PTCCCSA, then tried to get everyone around for announcements and presentations of Club 'trophies' - these are specially little babies!!!

One of these special trophies went to fox tail and hubby - can't remember what for - one to Malcolm and Roselee because they are never on time [-X - and one to young Steve for having a power nap while still driving!!!! :sleepy2: :boob: :sleepy2:

Foxtail & Hubby:AKA Syle & Bob received the PRESIDENTS AWARD for 2008 for Outstanding Support To the Club. This is awarded each year ( now in its 5 year) as a recognition to members who as the trophy states give "Outstanding Support to the Club"
Look forward to seeing more interstaters next year!!!!!!!

To Steve & the entire S A Pt club. Deb & I would like to thank you all again for making us part of the group whilst we were there.We both had a great time catching up with some old friends & making new ones as well.As for the show day what a great turn out it was & everyone had a good time together.Lucky Terry ordered the right weather this time.I will put some pic's up as well when i down load them.Once again another great trip to S A was had by us.

Good to hear you are both home safe & sound , look forward to visiting your neck of the woods one day, roll on COTM next year when we can get together again.
