Hello Fellow PTers.

Sunday morning & its time to head off our monthly cruise. 11 pristine & 1 slightly batttle scared ( result of an inatentative young female driver) meet under very overcast conditions all set to head south of Adelaide to meet up with another 6 PTs to partake in our charity fundraiser event.
After traversing our states ridiculous One Way Freeway ( you have to visit us to see it) & a bit of rain we meet our fellow members at a local bakery to get further travel directions, which some drivers were not listening too & have a bite to eat.
So instructions have been given, off we go, 20 minutes later & we have lost 6 cars, ah the best laid plans, thats what happens when you let the Treasurer lead the group!. A few phone calls later we know where everybody is & they all know the destination so of to the Cheese Factory we head. With 18 PTs now together & all parked we have taken over the Cheese Factory & after the group photo with the tin cow its off inside for some tasting.
All too soon with the cars loaded with goodies its time to head off for sunny Victor Harbour, the rain has cleared & its perfect weather now & we get many admiring glances as we arrive in town in convoy.
Lunch is a sensational Carvery at the Hotel Victor where we spend a few hours dining, chatting & socializing after which we say our goodbyes, have look around town & then make our way back to Adelaide.
The objective or this run was to raise money for the Novita Childrens Service, this was achieved by including a donation in the cost of the lunch
plus we had coloured wristbands with PT Cruiser & Chrysler printed on them to purchase on the day, with money from each purchase also going to the charity.
A special thanks go out to Michael & Anne-Marie Bryce for taking it upon themselves to organise a raffle, plus getting people to sponsor him to have his hair dyed on the day with procedes also going Novita.
Also thanks to Lonedog & Medicine Women for your contribution towards the charity, once the final figures are in I will post what we raised .
Will also post pictures of the event soon

Good report Steve,
Sounds like another fun filled SA PT Cruise day! 18 PT Cruisers, great turnout - one being slightly battle scared ( a story behind that one I'd say )
Wish we could have joined our fellow SA members for the run. For others this side of the border that may not be aware Novita Children's Services is (formerly the Crippled Children's Association).

Victor Harbour www.tourismvictorharbor.com.au/ looks nice.

Will put it on our list of places to visit when we come over for the PT FAMILY SHOW DAY on Sunday 26 October this year. www.ptcruisers.com.au/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5145

Yes Victor Harbour is a nice area to visit, so far we have raised over $830.00 , as mentioned in my wrap up story the bulk of this was raised by Michael & Anne-Marie, a truely inspirational couple & a great asset to our club.

Victor Harbour does bring back happy memories

Steve, I have to agree with your ONE WAY Freeways...you do have to see and experience it to believe it.
Even the Tom-Tom's couldn't work their way through it

Congrats on your Charity Cruise...well done

Very good report Steve and thanks for the pics which will be be included in this post.
This was an annual charity fundraiser event for Novita Children's Services. This years fund raising cruise was in support for Dan Bailey (Vic President) and Daryl Brownsey (Property), who were participating in the West End Outback Odyssey supporting Novita.
Novita is South Australia's premier children's charity - and a recognised and celebrated world leader in the provision of therapy, equiptment and family support to more than 1000 local children and their families living with physical disabilities and acquired brain injuries.
Help by Novita Children's Services

Sunday morning we headed off (12 PTs), to meet up with another 6 PTs.

Then headed to the Cheese factory:

Then headed off to sunny Victor Harbour - what a great place!

What's this??? Who let Patricia bring those knitting needles again???!!! [-X

This Victor Harbour would be a great place for a couple day cruise:

Then to the Victor Harbour Hotel Carvery:

Ok Malcolm! \ Look how everyone else is eating! Take note!!!! Oooops! There not eating - never mind!

The objective for this run was to raise money for the Novita Childrfen's Service. A big thank you goes out to Michael & Anne-Marie Bryce for organizing a raffle and getting sponsors. I believe the event raised over $800.00 - what a fantastic effort guys!! =D> =D> =D> \

Last pic - well you can figure this one out yourselves.

This Club should be congratulated on its involvement within the wider community and for its charitable endeavours.

Hope you like the pics - more pics will be coming from John (Club Captain) - so stay tuned for a couple of days.

Take Care
