Just an update & reminder that the end of January is the end of the guaranteed accommodation to be held by the park operators for the GORC.

Looking forward to another great cruise.

Hi fellow GORC'ers.

One of my "must see" places on this trip is the Bellarine Railway Museum near Geelong. We will be just across the water in Sorrento on Day 6, wondered if anyone was interested in an over and back trip on that day.
Looking at the ferry costs it would be a car pool trip or even on foot. Local knowledge appreciated here.

Otherwise a trip back up from Apollo Bay.

hi , i the steam train leaves queenscliff and travells up to bellarine and back only problem is it runs on the 2 and 5 of october the train leaves not far from where the ferry docks at queenscliff. google bellarine peninsule rail all infro there. hope to see you all around the coast when you get down chris

thanks for the help with the local knowledge. I checked the timetable, the 2nd October is a steam running day, it is also Day 6 of the cruise and an all day stopover at Dromana. If the railway is only walking distance from the Queenscliff ferry terminal, might be able to go over and back on foot.

Note also there is a diesel railmotor service but it is unclear if it will be running in October - being school holidays (??) there may be extra services. May need to wait a bit closer to the time.
