Great to hear you're enjoying the updates... My memory is pretty bad when it comes to exactly where we went and the names of towns etc, but others will be on later with more exact details...
Thanks Dot for the info - and additional bit - we do appreciate it - have passed on, and I'm sure will be reminded in the morning before we head off - I'll also give Keith the update...
Some didn't know - or weren't listening? - and were a bit upset to find out about the 'dirt' after just washing their cars this afternoon (you'll find out why shortly) but hey it's all good fun!
Today was another great day - and great weather - the PT gods are still with us after only a little light rain on and off the other day... It's such a clear night tonight so here's hoping for another great day tomorrow...
We all left Twofold Bay (Eden) at about 9am this morning and almost all in convoy headed to
Boyd Tower and the
Davidson Whaling Station - a bit of fun with the logging trucks on the road as it was also the road to the Wood Chip Mill - wow they move!! but they sure drop off on the hills... Only to find a dirt road for the last 1.2kms to the tower carpark - a few decided here that they didn't want to have a go on the dirt and turned around and headed on... Majority stuck to it and it was definitely worth having a PT covered in dust from the dirt road to see the view... quite spectacular!! and on such a clear day the water was so blue!
Back out to the road again to head across to the old whaling station - and we hit another dirt road - this time 4kms worth - oh and Brian (PT Aussie) had the top down!!! - but again a nice spot to end up at with a few remnants of the old whaling station left and an old homestead...

including a tour of the homestead and history by the grandson of the homestead owner... (I didn't go on the tour so someone else will elaborate here)
The PT's are well-prepared and ready for the gathering and display at Mopar motors:
Time was getting away from us and it was just on lunch time and we still had 200kms to go... so across the border (it's amazing how the road changes when you cross the border!!) and into Mallacoota for lunch at the pub - which everyone enjoyed - and after a quick drive around the waterfront - back on the highway for the rest of the day's run to Lakes Entrance... by this stage we were down to about 8 PT's in this group (i'm sure the others will post later about their adventures)...
We had read about the Historic Trestle Bridge, just outside Lakes Entrance and most were keen to have a look... Apart from it getting late, by the time we got to the turn off, and found it was ANOTHER DIRT ROAD - most continued on asking Plum Puddin and myself (the only ones game enough to go) to take lots of photos - which we did! It was quite spectacular the engineering in the bridge and it was quite high!
Arriving into Lakes Entrance to voices on the UHF looking for the car wash - most washed their cars - don't panic! lol

- and it was just about dinner time... Guess I (we) 'll find out later what the others did that got in earlier in the day...
Early start tomorrow for the longer drive to Sorrento / Dromana / Mornington Peninsula
(hope we dont get too caught up in roadworks!)
Catch all the Vic PT'ers real soon!
