Combined PT Clubs COTM 09 Happenings


A number of Vic PT’s are proposing a few activities & a united cruise over the weekend of COTM 09 and would like to extend an invitation to all PT‘s, Modern Mopars and older Chryslers attending this fabulous weekend, to join them if they wish. * Please note there is NO obligation and merging & demerging at your leisure is OK but please let either The Chief, Hot PT, Wild PT or Dotspt know of your intentions as they are trying to cater and fit in what they can with the time they have and the wishes of many!!!!!

Friday 13th March same as last year. Meet & greet at the Crystal Fountain motel for a casual bbq and drinkies….and more drinkies from whenever you arrive till you fall into bed. It will be BYO everything as this worked extremely well last time. PLEASE remember to bring your own cutlery & plastic plates etc for the bbq as the motels don’t supply any of that. DON’T FORGET or you’ll have to use your fingers to eat.

Sat 14th March (remember we cannot enter the Shannons top 10 now ) so an earlier time is planned for a cruise back to Beechworth as this has been requested by many people leaving the Crystal Fountain motel, Lavington at 10.30am. Anyone wishing to go to Sumison Gardens first we are suggesting leaving Crystal Fountain motel Lavington at around 9am and merging with the others at 10.30am as they pass through Wodonga. If you haven’t registered by then, maybe this is a good time to do it and also possibly find out from the organisers where our designated parking spots are for the Sunday or if they have organised this at all. Lunch at possibly the Beechworth Bakery or there are several cafes & eateries. No planned time to go back to motel, cruise back together or leave at your own leisure and for those who want to go for a run out to the Ettamogah Pub would need to leave Beechworth no later than 1.30pm to join the designated super cruise that AWCC have planned at 2.30pm. Those who want to call into the Sumison Gardens for a look are also welcome to do so.
Sat night will be same as Friday night, bbq at the Crystal Fountain BYO everything and drinkies & more drinkies. For those who want to go a club or pub then you are welcome to do as you wish. If anyone wants to go to the Albury Golf club for a meal then contact The Chief and he will give you the phone number to book a table.
At present, hoping to organise some fun and games for the sat night and this will be a joint effort again same as last year. It was a lot of fun so here’s hoping. Theme for Sat night will be an Hawaiin costume so get out the coloured shirts, grass skirts and all the lei’s you can find. This could be interesting………………

Brekkie both mornings for those who wish to join in will be the same, BYO everything. A good breakfast makes a good start to long days.

Sunday 15th March an early departure is planned at 7.30am for the short run to Sumison Gardens Wodonga for the main days events. The early birds get the best parking areas. Hopefully we will already have this info from the organisers the day before.
* Also remember there are still 2 trophies for Best PT Cruiser and runner up. If you want to be judged in the Street categories you must have your bonnet open but the boot can be left closed.

Remember, plenty of water if same as last year ( very hot ) slip slop slap, hats and porta shades and your fold up chairs, they come in handy if you want to sit down. Also food may come in handy if you don’t want to line up at one of the vans.

If we are approached by the AWCC committee to judge any section during the weekend we should jump at it with open arms. It has been done in the past and should be done in the future, working together as a united group.

* On arrival in Albury or Wodonga or wherever you are staying remember to go to the ( Motel Chrysler, ) Australia Park Motel - Cnr Wodonga Pl & Ebden St Albury to collect your registration sticker. ***You must have this displayed on your windscreen or dash to gain entry into the grounds. No sticker, no entry.

Remember to take your registration No with you when you register. It makes it easier for the people to find you and mark you off on their list. ( It isn’t done in alphabetical order but by the No you are issued when they received it. )

* Remember for those with UHF radios we will using channel 18 *

Cruzin Chryslers will be there.A few of us have already booked & are looking forward to catching up with everyone at COTM.

We will have 4 cars plus our club trailer full of PT goodies attending & we look forward to meeting up with old & new PT friends & you have been warned: the 2 singing / entertaining ladies will be in attendance

Any song, they don't even need to know the words, they will make them up as they go.The first lady also like to dance & if she can combine the two she is in her element & if you add alcohol..........

Will be there, unsure of exact arrangements at present but at least one PT will be there this year. Will have to see how the plan comes together in the new year.

New job and all so the final plans will take some time to work out.

WE have motel booked .... the rest is up in the land of sea change & work at this stage but it WILL be a good WEEKEND thanks chief!!

We will be there in the Neon,PT is staying home this year.

Not sure which car I'm taking.

It is the PT's turn but with the prospect of resonably priced petrol the Regal might get another turn

RT Deb said it's the PT's turn & you should join in on the fun with us.

Looking forward to another great weekend, have already booked in at The Motel, Daphne

At this moment looks like we will have 5 or 6 cars travelling down to the Murrary.So this will be a good trip down & back.

i am really looking forward to this as it will be a great get together . as always . steve, i will try and control my laughing this time but i can't promise. i am looking forward to hearing the song birds in all their glory . and to daphine it will be great catching up again .
